Chicken Fishing

Our neighbor has chickens and 2 roosters. Well one morning at 4am the rooster started doing his thing, which of course woke Jason and I up. It would not stop all morning so when Jason left to go to work he was pretty upset from not getting very much sleep. So, he went outside to see if he could find the rooster and it was by the kids slide. So he chased it into the tennis court and trying to catch it. Of course he wasn't going to be able to catch it. Finally he gave up and went to work. Later he came home and was bound and determined to get ride of the rooster. So the kids and I helped getting them. There was 3 chickens and 1 rooster. I was able to run 1 chicken down the driveway and over to his home. Jason and the kids were chasing the other 3 around. Jason had even put up a ramp so they could go on home using a door section of course. That didn't even work. So we left and ran some errands. Well when we got home Jason got a better idea he would get the fishing net. And that finally worked at least for the 2 chickens the rooster was really fast and did not want to go in the net. So after chasing it around and to the neighbors house we thought we would let it rest and try again later. Finally after a while we went over and was able to catch the rooster. Chase said "Dad this is just like fishing except we are catching chickens, how cool!". The kids loved it! Jason was so proud of himself!!
