OK this is Jason's favorite time of year to go to Flaming Gorge, you ask why? Well the Kokanee Salmon are spawning and they alot of fun to catch. You can catch a lot of fish in very little time. We left on Friday of Labor Day weekend. (BIG MISTAKE). It took us 5 1/2 hours to get there, needless to say we were tired except of course the kids. We got to sleep so we could get up and fish. Well Chase was up bright and early asking when we were going fishing, they could not wait. The weather was nice a little breeze but very good. We went out and went fishing for a while and the kids were getting tired of being on the boat, so we went back for a little break and let them play in the dirt. Later Jason, Roger, Teresa, and Chase went fishing while Paige napped and I read. Which was absolutely wonderful!!!!! The weather started picking up later that day and we didn't really get fish anymore. Sunday, we got up and it was stormy and really ugly looking outside. Roger and Teresa decided to head home before the storm hit. Well the storm came Sunday night and the wind was blowing so hard it was shaking the motorhome like crazy and it rained for 24 hours straight!! HORRIBLE!! But we survived the kids slept through the whole thing. So we didn't get to fish on Sunday, we got up Monday and it was freezing and so we tried to fish but the weather was just not corporating. Anyways, we spent lots of quality time in the motorhome. Great huh! Then on Tuesday we get up and it is just beautiful. So we hurry and get ready and go fishing. Jason and I were catching so many fish, that my arm was getting tired of reeling. But we had so much fun and believe it or not the kids did excellent. We fished till 2pm and then thought we should head home. Well we took home about 10 fish that were all big, and it took 1 hour to filet the fish. Well then we were going to hook the boat trailer to the motorhome and found out that we had not trailer hitch. OH Crap is right. Luckily Jason's uncle Rick was fishing and believe it or not he had an extra hitch in his truck!! How lucky is that. We finally got on our way about 4:15pm. By the time we got home and put the boat away and unloaded the motorhome it was 9pm. A very long day, but fun in some ways. And the best part yet is that we found that the sewer is clogged in the motorhome!! Awesome right. Oh well there could be worse things, right.
